Housing Uganda’s Children

Housing Uganda’s Children (HUC) is a Minnesota non-profit corporation, recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) 3 non-profit entity. HUC’s founding purpose is to raise funds for building and supporting Christian-based homes for orphans in Uganda, nurturing them in the love of Christ and transforming their spirits. We do this through partnerships with appropriate Ugandan-based organizations that share our vision of healing and restoration for the orphans in Uganda.

Founded in 2008 by Drew Sandbulte, HUC is the direct result of Drew’s personal experiences with street children in Uganda. After his first trip to Africa, Drew’s personal convictions and feeling of responsibility to help orphans led him to do something about this huge problem. He formed HUC as a vehicle for change, and as a way to directly assist former street children. Since that initial encounter, Drew has spent time living in Kampala, Uganda providing foster care to over 25 former street children within his home. This has furthered his understanding of the needs, both physical and emotional, of orphan children.

Donations to HUC are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. All donations are sent to Africa to be used for the direct care and wellbeing of the children we serve. None of the administrators in HUC are paid for their services.

HUC would like to thank all of its current and past donors and sponsors. We are especially grateful to our donors who have given on a continuous basis: Servant Of Christ Lutheran Church in Champlin, MN; Northwest Landscaping in Hull, IA; Carmel Reformed Church in Carmel, IA; and all of our beloved education sponsors. Your love and support is greatly appreciated!
